Susan Jacobi, DVM (ECFVG), MS, Diplomate ACVO

Dr. Jacobi received her veterinary degree from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, in 2001. She finished her doctoral thesis "Computerized tomography on canine hips" in 2002, earning the degree Magna Cum Laude. After working for two years in an ophthalmology specialty clinic in Berlin, she completed a four-year residency in comparative ophthalmology at Michigan State University, where she also received her Master’s degree, which focused on ocular feline herpes virus infection in 2008. The same year she also passed her board examinations and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO). Dr. Jacobi worked in a multi-specialized referral center in the Seattle, Washington area from 2008 to July 2011, and at Animal Eye Care in California from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Jacobi has been an author or co-author of several scientific ophthalmology articles. Her special interests include neuro-ophthalmology, ocular manifestations of systemic disease, and a wide variety of ocular surgeries.

Dr. Susan Jacobi joins the VSS Animal Eye Care team in August 2014. She loves the outdoors and spends her free time with her husband and her two sons.
